My weekend!

It's mothers's day once again. But this year round, I dun think it is a fantastic one because of the trouble that started from ytd. But nonetheless, I cannot deprive my mama of her day! So, she must have a gift! But the thing was I was too broke to buy her something really nice, so, I think, my handicraft can do the same too!



Went grandma's place for dinner last night. I guess, it was pretty much a mistake. Oh wells, never mind. I dun really mind what had happened, so, I hope my mama can stop feeling bad for me!



I think ah ma is getting so fragile every single day. Where's the ah ma who keep scolding almost everyday when I'm young? So I say, exercising and friends are so important!

Childhood days are the best isnt it?

Had another sewing weekend! I've been dying for it. But I din use up the whole day because I think I shld think more of my poster before I have another bombing lesson tmr again. Hehs. I'm excited for Tuesday!



Tadang! My luncheon bag. Ever since I got discharge from the hospital, mummy has been cooking porridge/some soup-based lunch for me. Gosh, the thermoflask is super super super heavy can? I mean, with all the food. But I think no paperbags can fit the flask nicely. So, it's the sewing time to the rescue! Personalised it totally for the flask only! And top it up with my favourite polka dots and solid colors. I really love the effect the whole thing gives! Oh ya, inside got quilt batting. So, it's soft soft de too! Hehs. =) Am still proud of myself. But it wasnt very well done at the bottom because it's my first time trying a circular sewing. Haha. It was quite a mess!



Been wanting to mk this since pretty long ago le. And, because Weng reads, so I always wanted to make one for her as a present too! The right side one is of course mine! Ok, actually I made it for her, but, it doesnt feel very weng, so, I made something similar using the cloth that we picked for her last sunday. (Ok, if you read this, nvm la hor? Hehs. Your birthday present is not just this! I cant wait to see the final product at the end!)



Seriously, I love this piece of cloth to bits. And that is the whole reason why I refuse to make the cushion covers as initially agreed. If we do it, then, the whole piece of cloth will be gone just like this! OH MY GOD! So, I want to cut it abit at a time, and that's why all the projects are small small de. Hehs. And then ar, I think that it fits auntie (ah dear's mama) and my mama more. You know, it's a chinese piece of cloth anyway. So, I made one tissue pouch last week and one coin pouch this week. The tissue pouch is the coolest one I've made! Cos the opening is covered! Lol!

I feeel sooo happy every time I take out my fabrics and admire them. =) If only I can get my hands on all the pretty cloths that I saw. BOO! But that would spell disaster because I really dun bear to part with them all the time. Hehs.



Hehs. After being psychoed by ah dear so many times, I finally made xiao xiao bao! Washed a piece of cloth for it so that it wun smell of new cloth today. Hehs. And I also bought the filling ytd at Daiso. (Daiso @ sembawang shopping center is realllly great! It's empty and everything is in stock. INCLUDING the cloth that I love from Daiso!) I really dunno why but I only think this cloth is suitable leh. Hehs. Not even the red version. I think, it goes with the personality that I've instilled for xiao xiao bao! LOL! But yea! =) =)

If I can only sew all day long almost everyday. Hehs. Ya, wishful thinking. But, I still wish to open my handicraft shop one day!

And, I packed my room, my art box, my table, my xmas tree (yes, I've procrastinated till today. Hehs.) It's neatER (cant say it's extremely neat). Hahahaha. =)

Fabric Therapy

Went spotlight 2 days in a go. Weee! It's sooooooo nice to be shopping there! It feels so much like my favoritest place, after disneyland. Hehs. I satisfy my craft urges just by touching at the cloth, and imagining what I can do with all the tools and stuffs there. =) I really wish I can open my own craft shop one day. Well, I said, it is a DREAM. Hehs.

My next favouritest place will have to be this level at Chinatown. The main reason was actually, the price. Haha. Their stashes will never win over spotlight, but, it is good enough for a budgeted amateur like me. =) The only bad thing about this place is that they dun really sell the tools! And they seems to be selling cloth more for clothes rather than my current favourite -----> QUILTING!

Just too bad that my friends still feel that giving quilts as a present is too wierd and not practical enough. Ha. For this, I wish to migrate to the ang moh countries. =) Do you know that spotlight has an entire section that sells quilting tools? And cloth for quilting? Hahahaha! And, I think I need more arts and crafts buddies. LOL! As much as I need friends studying in science. HAHAHAHA!


But still, I had my little wish satisfied. SOLID COLORS FABRICS! I have a fetish for these bright bright colors. Just looking at them will make me really very happy. And that's the reason why everytime I see my collection of threads, I'll feeeeel super excited and happy. =) But this stash had not met my standards yet. I want the whole collection like at spotlight or just like my thread collection. Different shades of the same color. It's an impossibly happy sight!



I have been having real fun mixing and matching all my fabrics. Haha. I saw quite a few nice combinations! Woooohoooo! =)

WHAT IS MORE EXCITING?! I got the pooh pooh colors! OMG! I can make a pooh pooh bag! Gosh. I feel so excited about everything that I dunno where to start from. Hahahaha!

I've just transformed my table into my sewing prep table. Lol! It's so much better to work on a table. Haha. I'm going to transform it into my sewing corner one day. When I get my hands onto a auto sewing machine! Then I can just work in my room. Feeeeel sooooo excited just thinking of it. =)

EXCITED!

This is how I spend my Sunday.

Checkup on wednesday. It's time to hit chinatown to get the fabrics for Darling Weng's bday present! =) I have a seriously too major a project in mind. It's going to take like 1 month to complete I think. (1 month of weekends to be exact. Hahaha!)

I cant wait!
