Best Rafting 4u - SeaCanoe

We have been relishing on the adventures we had over at Phuket. Although I would very much want to just nua around the hotel compound, the adventures were pretty fun.

One note of caution is never to book the packages online! It's like double the price we got! But then, we wonder if the ang mohs will get any discounts not. They seem to be 'tok-ed' in every Asia tourist spots that can be bargained! Hahaha~

The company (Best Rafting 4u) we signed up with (for both sea canoe and water rafting) was fabulous! REALLY REALLY GOOOOOD! Their service was good, their food was good, their instructors were all so friendly (please minus the language barrier at times. That probably doesn't count!). We'll definitely sign up with their company again if we ever go back. LOL! And the operator was really really good too! We went back to her every single day for directions to good food around, activities to do, taxis booking, etc.

Please look for Jenny if you ever ever go to Phuket and decided to stay at Kata Beach and decided to stay around Sugar Palm too. Haha. She's the most friendly operator we had found and she offered us the best prices too! =) She's stationed very near to the 7-11 you will find there. And and and, if you can't find her, just wait awhile. She could be off at the bank and will definitely be back soon! =) =)

Okay, back to the Best Rafting 4u. So we went off to Phang Nga Bay for our first adventure on my 3rd day there. Had to make sandwiches using ingredients (white bread and strawberry jam) from 7-11 because that's where our 2nd home was. Haha. And no dairy products and ham and stuffs, in case we need the toilet super urgently.

And do you know why we have to make our own breakfast and not buy ready made ones? It's all because we have to meet at 0715. And that's not enough, we have to take a 2 hours bus ride and another 2 hours ferry ride to reach our first destination! OMG. Please. Everyone. Stop raving about how fun and how fun and how fun these activities were! Please at least warn us on the bus ride to the Phang Nga Bay! Ah dear had bus sick the first day, TXY the second day. It's such an agony!

We took the big boat because we had no idea why. Hahaha! I guess it was because Jenny recommended this to us. Lol. But being on the big boat was pretty fun. Because there's so many people to look at! There's a family from South Africa! Why aren't they watching world cup at home? LOL! The most important one was that there was a family who had a super duper uber handsome daddy. And, I think his son was not too bad too (see circle)! Oh, the mummy was pretty too. Oh, what a family. Hehs. (Psssst! I'm not the only one saying that ok? Even Ah dear had to agree with me!)

But then, the ferry was really really really slow, as compared to the speed boat. Goodbye speedboat. Haha. That's all we can say. LOL!

We were quite amazed at the unlimited supply of softdrinks and water. Everyone just keep taking it, but it never seem to be depleted. Haha!

Well, you may start asking, what do we do here? Erm, look at limestones, limestones and more limestone? Hahaha! So, if you are into stones (like all of us), I would say, skip this trip and go Phi Phi island instead. Hahaha!

Well, of course, the trip has its fun parts too! The canoeing! But sad to say, we only get to paddle ourselves once. We really really thought that we can paddle and paddle ourselves leh. That is called fun ma. =( Well, safety first I guess. And if they let us do it, I think we can only go back after the sun sets? Lol!

Thank god our instructor was reallllly reallllly cute! And talkative too! Haha. I think he's so happy. Always jumping into the waters when he gets the chance, laughing and joking about, always disturbing us. And he also give us extra service, like, stop the canoe there to let us find monkeys, though I think it's more of to feed the mosquitos. Haha. We're always almost the last ones to go back because he always bring us an extra distant or spend some extra time at the lagoon itself. =) Aren't we lucky?

But, there's something about the islands that we want to complain about. Lol. The guide was telling us about the James Bond Island and that was meant to be our first station. Well, it's called James Bond island because it appeared in the movie for like, 3 minutes even though they spend 3 months shooting. So, when we say that, you would assume that the island is at least big enough to allow us to climb into right? But. Nope. We kept thinking that this is James Bond Island. All because it's the first place we landed!

So while we were on this island, we spotted a scenic place and decided to take a group photo here!

And we happily walked on and Mohammad, our instructor decided that we should take photos this way! And in our mind, we were still thinking that it's some nice stones that can let us take nice and funny photos!

And all of a sudden, someone said, 'this is the James Bond Island!'

#$%^&*((*&^%$ Hahaha. From then on, the moment we see the 3 words, James Bond Island, we really really feel like tearing the poster up! Lol. Even the James Bond Island 2 look bigger than this! Hahahahahahaha! That was really quite funny though. Hehs. And there are some posters with bad spelling. They spelled it as Jame Bond Island. Pronouncing it with the Thai slang became a little past time for us. Hahahahahahaha. Just like, Phang Nga Bay. LOL!

Alrights, the best part of the trip has to be the food the nice aunties prepared for us! Wooohooo! It has to be the most authentic meal we had tasted so far! =) =) Yums yums! The nicest dish was the vegetable tempura! You really dunno what you are eating! Like, I've got carrots, pumpkin and even PINEAPPLE! Hehs. *Slurps slurps* It was enough to made us actually forget all our complains about James Bond Island. LOL!

Another fun part of the trip was the Ko Hong. It means island of rooms. So, this island has a lot of lagoons and you have to canoe through caves in order to enter it. And they purposely wait till it is high tide before they start this activity. This is so that the water height ill be higher and to get through the caves without scarring yourself, you have to lie all the way down. And Mohammad, being the instructor who loves to give extra service, PURPOSELY go through the most cramp area he can find, the lowest lying stones he can find. Hahaha. But that was fun! And there was a part where the caves were so dark that they (except for our PROFESSIONAL Mohammad) had to bring touch lights! SO SCARY!

Well, all in all, it was a great experience. But no, we are never going to do this again! Hahahahaha! Unless they actually let us canoe ourselves. Hehs. =)
