Convocation 2010

Guess what? It's finally our turn to say 'WE'VE GRADUATED! OH YEA!' Haha. After 4 looooong years in SBS, that was finally the day! =)

Right before the ceremony starts, the dolling up took place at home! Haha. Erm, I seriously got a shock when Lotus came into my room in her bridal dress. Well, she claimed that she's going to marry my dear. WHAT????!! He's mine ok? Haha. But urm, she was too shy to call him darling though. LOL!

Gave her a little makeup and she was happy as a lark. LOL! Super princess sia!

The first thing that I felt when I reached SBS was. WHERE'S EVERYONE?! Lol. And, HOW TO WEAR MY ROBE?! Hehs. Luckily Jon came to my rescue. And helped me with everything, including my first photo of the day, in the robe. Hehs.

Not only 4 years, I've waited so damn long to receive this!!! =) Trembling with excitement when I receive this from Alex Law. =D

Look at my seat number! My god. Haha. Soooooo long lo. Haha.

And hahaha, I entrusted the camera to mummy. Oh, guess what? This was the best photo she took. Can you spot me? Hehs. Muahahahahaha! But I guess she was trembling with excitement too! Hehs. She looked so happy and proud! =D

I promised ah dear that I would not scan the photo with Alex Law into my computer because he bought the set that has the digital copy of the photo. Lol. I'll get it into my computer when I get it! Which is, urm, in a week? LOL! I just knew it when I see the photographer taking the photo below the stage. I knew they'll sell the photo! Hahahaha. Maciam like tourist attraction like that!

And after the ceremony is what we have been waiting for! PHOTO TAKING! Just go my FB for most of the photos ba. Hehs. I only uploaded my favorite photos. Photos with my FAMILY! =)

Hehs. I would like to thank everyone for making my uni life the way it was!

Special mentions!

Baoshan was the first new friend I met in school! Oh, I wun forget the kuku incident! =) And then in came DXY, elaine and suet hoay. Haha. Thank you for all the company, especially during our lab sessions! And definitely Huiling! Haha. Oh, those were the days when we'll do almost everything in school together. But wells, I've accepted that everyone moves on (why do I feel that someone is cursing me at the same time I'm typing this? I don't really care actually. LOL!)

The evil Max! Although we all know you sucked, you have been a great and entertaining friend at the same time. I think my life would have been really boring if not for you. Hahaha! You have been an important friend in the last 2 years of my uni life!!!!! =D Teaching me stuffs, telling me things and loads loads stuffs.

And my FYP mates. Yes we have disagreements at times, but oh my god, the FYP days were the best part of the uni life. Hehs. And now that we are going to face each other for the next few years *groans* you guys know I love you so! Hehs.

And dear Huda, haha, you are the best! Haha. =) Even though you often gang up with Max to laugh at me or laugh at me for being so bimbo and dumb. But, I know you love me so. Hehs. =D Thank you for tolerating my bimboness and giving your patience in explaining everything to me! Hehs.

And structural bio classmates. It was my favourite class in my entire 4 years in school. And it was the course that made me chose the route that I've chosen. And you people just made it even better. Haha. I remember going to NIE after class, trying to order the lor mee which is always sold out. Hehs. And always helping each other with all the impossible assignments. Ahh. Those were the days....... I swear this was the only class that I had no skipped any single lesson!!!!

Oh, there's many many others who made me Uni life better than it would have been!

And, how can I not thank my family? For giving me some support when I needed it?

And the most most important person. My DEARDEAR! He saw me through all thick and thin. My happy moments, my stressful moments, my upset moments. Almost everything. No words can describe EVERYTHING that he have done for me. So, thank you thank you thank you! I love you dear! =D

Finally, congratulations everyone! We've graduated!

Eating in Phuket - Kan Eang 2

Hehs. The Kan Eang restaurant that I had been raving about and comparing to all the places we have been to! It's realllllly the best~ Haha.

This place is in a very secluded area. So if you ever ever want to go to this place, please book a taxi, to and fro. You'll regret it if you din do it! Because, there's no car at sight at all. Haha.

The moment you walk into the place, you'll heart soft music in the background. Everything just look really classy. Not alot of photos were taken because we've forgot my camera! Oh damn. Of all the places!!! But thank god there's something called the camera photo. Well, I would say that the photos were not really well done too. Thank god there's something called photos editing. Haha. Now the photos look so much better. Haha! But wells, back to the place. It's right beside the beach, so there's small waves washing up the shore. And the lights were really very warmish kinda yellow. The brightest part will be your own table, whereby the light shines directly onto your food. Haha!

When we opened the menu, we were so so so shocked! We thought we were conned into this place. Because the seafood was much more expensive than the ones we had at the palm! Lobsters were more expensive. Oh, we wanted to eat it. We seriously wanted to leave for other places. But we learned that the nearest place has alot of dogs along the way. And then, we need a car if we want to go the other way. And in the end, the other place is Kan eng 1. Which is the same place sia......

After flipping the menu a little more, we realized that, erm, the thai food is really very cheap! Haha. And I guess the seafood is more expensive because they're alive. Not like most of the places which sell dead seafood. Hehs. So we set down and order and we wanted to order ALOT!

Clams? Lala? Hehs. They were really good. But I find them too spicy for my tongue. Lol!

The Phad thai was the best phad thai that I had ate in my life so far. Haha. I've only tried Thai express and the phuket and the bangkok ones? Lol! But it was really good. It could be because we were really starving and it was one of the first few dishes orders. But we ordered another 2 plates. LOL!

Spicy mango salad. My god. It's nice but spicy. Hehs. But that's how mango salads should be done right? LOL!

I forgot if this is tom yum kun or the seafood one. Hehs. Forgot the taste already. But then, I rmb it as a very spicy one. I cannot even really finish my first bowl at all. But it was really good. However, after drinking it, we need to eat a lot of other things to 'neutralize' the spiciness! Haha.

After a while, as the dishes come up one by one, we (or rather ah dear) got so engrossed in eating that no more food photos were taken. And, there were the nicer ones! Lol. I forgot why he din pass me his phone either. But I'll remember my camera the next time! Haha!

We tried their morning glory. It was surprisingly delicious.

The fish. We steamed it the Chinese style. My gawd. It was SO FRESH and SO NICE and SO SWEET and the soup was SO JUST RIGHT! Haha. It was the exact same thing as the one we had at Palm at Patong beach. That was nothing comparable to the one we had at Kan Eng 2! The fish really really did not die for nothing. It died a honorable death. Haha! I bet their other seafood were equally fresh and nice. NEXT TIME!

We also tried something that's seaweed tempura with prawn. Haha. I have to say. Just give me the seaweed and the sauce, I'm a happy Kelly already. LOL! The prawn was abit out of place because of the shell. You know the feeling of eating fried prawns with the shell? Lol. Very piercing, I would say. But the sauce made our day! Even though we were really full. Haha!

Oh, pineapple rice! That was good too. We were having a debate on whether the pineapple or Phad thai is better. We have to order another serving you see. Phad Thai won. Even though I think the Pineapple deserve a second serving too. The pineapple taste was really good!

Other than the coconut, I think, that's all we had ordered ba......The coconut was not just coconut orh. They named it 'Young Coconut'. Haha. Which means, their flesh is really soft and tender. Yeap. They delivered that! But I would like to have a young adult though. Then their flesh would be slightly thicker. Hahaha!

All in all, it was a really filling and wonderful dinner.

We left as very happy customers wanting and wishing to be back there every moment!

And mind you. We ate alot, we din spend alot! Inclusive of service charge, we only spend 1600 baht (=S$70). We ordered so much food and 5 coconuts and 1 soft drink! The fish was only 350 baht lo. So amazing! You cant get such good food at such great price so easily ba? Hehs.

It's a red alert recommendation! Please go there when you go Phuket one day! It's a must go! And it's a hidden gem because most of the people there are actually locals! Haha. =)

Oh by the way, did I mention that the service was pretty good? Hehs. How much more do I have to convince you to go there???? Hahaha!

NKF Kidney Health Week

NKF had another event today and we girls decided to lend us our hands! =) The event was held at the J8 atrium. Hehs. I thought it was at the top of the 8 sia.... Almost lost our way around. Thank god that J8 is such a tiny little shopping center, and that it was one of our favorite hangouts till all of us graduated from NY. Hehs.

We did a little part in the pillar of hope! I think it's pretty creative. We get to write encouragements on the balls to encourage the kidney patients! I hope they receive my moral support!!!

Me and YX was in charge of the coloring contest for the kids!

My god. I see that some of the kids were really talented. But I bet that they should have went for some extra art lessons somewhere. Hehs. Because, I still cannot believe that people can so SO talented! And, a box of 12 crayons can create such beautiful art? And mind you, they are from 2 categories. 4-6 (bottom) and 7-9 years old (top). =)

And I really enjoyed watching the kids do their art work. They loooooook so serious and CUTE!

Hehs. I fell in love with 2 kids. One is from the 4-6 category and she's really chubby. Haha. Another one is Natasha! Her sister look really pretty too! Yx and I think that they must have some Japanese blood in them! Here's Natasha! She's really super super obedient sia. And she doesn't mind giving up her seats to other kids. Some kids refuse to give up their seats because they MUST sit in the first row, center seats. Lol.

Well, I would think that kids really will reflect what parents teach them and how parents behave themselves. Some of them are so KIASU! Stood at the side and keep telling them, "still got white white! continue to color it!" or "banana is YELLOW!". Haha. Talk about restricting creativity. LOL! One even tell us "I've read the forms, it said that we cannot help the kids to color, but I can guide them from the side!" when we told her that parents are not allowed to help the kids. Lol. Good for her, because one of her daughter won a top prize. Hahaha.

Overall, it was pretty fun la. Cynthia is such a friendly and funny auntie. Lol.

And I got a chance to give out balloons too! It was like one of my dreams too! I know my bunch of balloons is like, left with three. But, I started with quite a few! LOL!

And we took photos with mascots! Hom, me and Yx's dream is to be the mascot leh.. BOO! Or at least let me be the escorts ma..... LOL! I'm sure I can do a better job at taking photos for others! LOL!

It's our first public NKF event! Till the next event again! =)
