Your wish is my command.

Hahahahaha. Seriously, don't anyhow think or say. Sometimes, what you think of would just appear without warning. Ha!

Yesterday, I've finally decided that, yes, I'm going to get my Olympus EPL-1!

And, I would probably doll it up a little by buying the skin which is SO PRETTY and SO VINTAGE looking. Ha!

So, I went to both Funan and Sitex 2010 to check out the prices. But when we were at Sitex, I was just walking around looking around. And...

Dear: I thought you wanna buy Pen already? Why are you still looking around?
Me: Oh, well, you never know! I may just fall in love with something instantly! And forget all about the Pen immediately!

*Continue walking and looking and ended up in front of Sony*

Dear: Let's go check out Sony's NEX.
Me: (Heart is full of Pen because nothing is prettier than that. Yes, I'm a bimbo.) What's that?

*Pulled me towards NEX*

My eyes lit up immediately and I was craving to touch the NEX and oh my goodness! How can that be so freaking light and pretty and exciting all at the same time?! (The silver one is prettier!)

I began bombarding the sales girl with loads and loads and loads of questions. And step by step, I'm getting won over by NEX-5. Craziness. But the moment I look at the price. $1299, with the camera, 2 lens, 16 gb memory card, bag, electronic photo frame. But still, $1299!

Hmm. Someone is probably going to tell me, "You can get a dSLR with that price!" But then come again, I want to get a micro-four thirds because I don't want a bulky dSLR. And, I still want to set my camera on auto mode when I'm lazy. But, I still want an upgrade from a compact. These are the reasons why I want to get the Olympus Pen over S95 which looks really good to me.

But damn. Once I touched NEX, goodbye pen. NEX is half the weight of Pen! And it has fast focusing which pen does not have. The multiple shots with focus wowed me. The modern chic look wowed both my dear and me (seriously, he knew about this camera and did not tell me until I saw it!). The specifications are pretty about the same as the other micro four thirds. But then, the sensor is much bigger than the rest, and thus, better photos within a small body! HD video anyone?

Yea, there are some pitfalls, like with all cameras (isn't it?). But they are not that serious because I'm not that serious a photographer (I aspire to be  one but I devote my time to sewing and not learning photography).

Dear voted in unison with me. NEX-5.

Thank god there's something called interest free credit card installment.

I've got back my credit card. I'm going to bring you home.

Yea, it's a terribly expensive Christmas present for myself this year. And I'm sure there is going to be some, if not many, who will disagree with my purchase. But if it makes me happy, and that my dear likes it too (he never understood the beauty of the pen), and it's not going to take a toil on my wallet (it's going to be around $50 per month), and it's going to take my photos to another level. I'll do it gladly.

Ya, that's the new me. I have stopped thinking too much about monetary matters because I always make sure I cast that safety net around me. Life gets harder if we think too much. So, that made me a much happier person!

Oh ya, if anyone have alot of spare cash and want to throw a present at me, by all means get that super pretty Kate Spade bag for me! I fell in love with the 'type writer' bag yesterday! Haha. We didn't check the price though! Well, I believe in looking at that thing and wishing for it and not look at the price tag and try to work hard for that amount. I would not throw in the money immediately when I realized I have saved that amount immediately, anyway. Seriously, if it's meant to be mine, the roads will be laid and I will get it in the end. Don't need to think too much of "I have to get this!". Anyone, including myself, can be THE santa claus! Hohohohohohoho!
